FIREFLY DANSTORIES

- brief illuminations in words and movement -

Firefly Danstories is a new series of intimate pop-up performances blending spoken word and dance. 

Each Danstory is a true story performed in two minutes or less.

Like fireflies appearing at dusk, these brief performances illuminate memories, losses, laughter, and the extraordinary found in the ordinary. 

Dancers of every age and background are invited to create a piece that only they can tell. Dancers never stop being dancers.  Many continue to move with beauty long after professional opportunities become scarce. 

firefly welcomes them - along with the fresh perspectives of younger dancers. Together they create a tapestry more compelling than either could alone.
